What Does iGrafx do?
iGrafx is a global leader in process intelligence and process management with over 30 years of experience. Our end-to-end platform combines process design, process mining, and process simulation to help organisations discover, optimise, and transform their business processes.
By aligning corporate strategy with daily operations, we enable companies to increase productivity, reduce costs, and ensure compliance, driving true business transformation for over 2,000 customers worldwide.
Everyone Is Talking About AI, But What Makes iGrafx Different?
At iGrafx, AI is woven into the very fabric of how we approach process intelligence. We believe AI should be a natural extension of the way organisations understand, manage, and improve their operations. That’s why our AI-enabled Process Repository is the backbone of our platform and a key driver of customer success.
Acting as a single source of truth, it connects processes across organisational silos, ensuring that dependencies are not just captured but leveraged for greater collaboration and transformative improvements.
For customers, this is a game-changer. It ensures that process improvements go beyond siloed areas, delivering end-to-end visibility that reduces risk, ensures compliance, and drives meaningful outcomes. For example, in regulated industries, understanding the interconnections between processes is critical to maintaining compliance while achieving operational efficiency.
This capability enables customers to not only optimise processes but also ensure those optimisations are sustainable, measurable, and impactful across the entire organisation.
We have also recently launched Pia, our ground-breaking Generative AI assistant, to make process intelligence more intuitive, accessible, and effective for everyone. Pia enables employees without any technical expertise to create fully functional process diagrams by either uploading Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents or through natural language conversations.
This dramatically reduces the time needed to document processes, giving professionals a jumpstart on process improvement.
What Challenge Did You Set Out To Solve, Specifically Relating to AI?
We have solved many challenges over the year, but one in particular: our clients needed a comprehensive and accurate understanding of their customer relationship processes, but the available Process Mining tools couldn’t capture the complexity of their operations. The processes were often non-linear and dynamic, eluding the grasp of traditional algorithms that provided a too simplified and linear view.
The surprise came when we analysed client data and realised the extent of parallel activities and process variations that standard tools couldn’t visualise. It became clear that we needed to rethink our approach.
We embarked on developing a new Process Mining technology, designed to handle the complexity and flexibility of real-life processes. The innovation effort was immense: it required developing new algorithms that could track parallel workstreams and integrate the subjective insights of process owners.
The technology we developed didn’t just meet customer needs, it also opened our eyes to the vast potential of Process Mining when it is tailored to the nuances of real-world processes. This experience has been a cornerstone in our journey, emphasising the importance of customer-centric innovation and the value of persistence in the face of complex challenges.
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge Since Starting iGrafx?
The tech industry moves at an incredibly fast pace and staying ahead of emerging technologies while ensuring customer satisfaction has been one challenge iGrafx has faced, as do all software companies. We are committed to continuously innovating and improving our platform, ensuring we remain a leader in process intelligence.
We continue to evolve to meet the needs of the market and to offer a best-in-class solution by leveraging the latest next-gen technologies, including machine learning and AI. Here’s how:
Automated Process Discovery and Mapping – iGrafx uses AI and ML to automatically discover and map business processes from existing system logs and data. By analysing historical data and transaction flows, machine learning algorithms can identify how processes are actually executed, without requiring manual input. This speeds up the process discovery phase and provides organisations with an accurate picture of their current operations.
Predictive Analytics for Process Improvement – iGrafx uses machine learning models to predict potential risks, disruptions, or inefficiencies in business processes. For example, AI algorithms can analyse past performance data and trends to forecast process outcomes or identify which processes are most likely to experience delays or compliance issues.
Enhanced Process Simulation and Optimisation – iGrafx employs AI-driven simulations to test different scenarios and optimise business processes. Using machine learning, the platform can automatically generate simulations based on historical and real-time data, allowing businesses to model the impact of different process changes or improvements.
Continuous Process Monitoring – With continuous data flow from operations, iGrafx uses machine learning to monitor processes in near real-time, detecting any anomalies or deviations from optimal performance. AI can automatically flag when a process isn’t performing as expected or if there’s a risk of non-compliance.
How Important Is It To Optimise Processes And Why Does It Matter?
Optimising processes is all about ensuring a business runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. It’s about staying ahead, making informed decisions, and ensuring that every part of an organisation is working together towards its goals.
Without optimisation, small inefficiencies can build up, risks can go unnoticed, and teams end up spending more time putting out fires than driving real progress. The key is to take a proactive approach, using data to predict where things might go off track and making adjustments before problems arise.
Process intelligence platforms like iGrafx help businesses turn their processes into a competitive advantage and as a result achieve measurable results in terms of increased productivity, lower costs, and compliance and risk management. With deep process understanding, the insights needed to design ideal future processes, and the ability to continuously monitoring operations, we give organisations the end-to-end process intelligence they need to achieve meaningful process optimisation.
What In Your Opinion Is The Best Process In A Business To Automate?
There is no single answer to this question, as the criticality of individual processes is unique for each company. There are many factors that need to be considered, including industry, company size, business model, and strategic goals of the company. At iGrafx, we bring 30 years of expertise in helping organisations understand where process improvement can have the biggest impact.
What Is Next In Store For You and iGrafx?
At iGrafx, we are excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead. As part of our growth strategy, we are focused on expanding into new geographies to bring our innovative process intelligence solutions to more businesses around the world.
This geographic expansion will enable us to better serve organisations in diverse markets and industries, offering them the tools they need to optimise their processes and drive efficiency.
