Commonside and Fishponds Road in Bromley will be closed from 8am to 6pm on Sunday, May 11 as part of the event.
The closures, imposed by Bromley Council, will allow the hospice’s annual fun walk to take place safely.
The event, which will be held on Keston Common, is a community initiative aimed at raising funds for the hospice.
Participants can choose to walk three, five, eight, or 11 miles.
Organisers have encouraged families and friends to take part in the event, promising a day filled with live music and entertainment.
The initiative is particularly crucial for the hospice, which relies heavily on fundraising to support its operations.
The closure of Commonside and Fishponds Road will be enforced only when indicated by traffic signs.
Pedestrian access to premises on or adjacent to the closed roads will not be affected, and emergency access will be maintained at all times.
The council has assured residents that access to properties will be maintained as far as practicable from either side of the closure.
The event is expected to draw a significant number of participants from across the community, all of whom will contribute to the hospice’s efforts to provide care for those in need.
The fun walk is described as a family-friendly event, and organisers have emphasised the importance of community support.
Those wishing to participate in the walk can register for £15, although registration on the day will cost £20.
The fun walk is more than just a fundraising event; it is a celebration of community spirit and a chance to support a vital local service.
People can expect a lively atmosphere on the day, with a variety of entertainment options available.
