The celebration event, which took place on April 4, celebrated local pupils’ participation in The Skills for Work programme.
23 pupils from three local high schools took part in a programme to gain their Level 4 Skills for Work Automotive qualification.

The programme marks the first year that North Lanarkshire Council and Remit Training have collaborated to offer the qualification.
Three pupils who took part moved on to modern apprenticeships with well-known companies Parks of Hamilton and Turners Soham Ltd.
Two students from Coltness High School and one from Clyde Valley High School directly entered the workforce.
Brannock High School pupils also took part and successfully finished the course.
The programme aims to give young people a solid start in the automotive industry.
It covered key areas such as health and safety, inspections, routine maintenance, fabrication, and vehicle modification.
These subjects form part of the first year of a modern apprenticeship.
A spokesperson said: “The course offers excellent progression opportunities and has been well received by all involved.
“The partnership between the council and Remit has proven to be a successful model, with pupils showing real commitment and enthusiasm throughout.”

Notably, Matthew O’Rourke and Jayden Irvine undertook light motor vehicle apprenticeships with Parks Motor Group, while Calum Evans started a heavy goods vehicle apprenticeship with Turners Soham Ltd.
Meanwhile, Mikal Kuca from Brannock High School has secured an apprenticeship at Douglas Park BMW.
Discussions are currently underway to expand the partnership into the 2025/26 academic year.
It is hoped this could offer more young people access to important skills and career pathways in the automotive sector.
