Yates Hellier has completed the acquisition of Glasgow-based rival CIB Residential, following the retirement of its founder Ronnie Carpenter.
The Independently-owned agency’s has expanded its presence in the city’s west end following last year’s launch of a sales branch in Hyndland Road.
CIB Residential was established in 1987 and is based in Byres Road. Its portfolio of 250 managed properties is located mainly in the local area.
Carpenter commented: “It was important to me to pass the business on to a company that genuinely cares.”
The acquisition brings Yates Hellier’s total managed portfolio to more than 600 properties.
Managing director Jack Hellier said: “This acquisition made perfect sense for us – our business is built around providing a hands-on, premium service.
“When the opportunity arose to acquire CIB, whose portfolio is located within our core operating area, I could see it was the perfect fit.
“It has been a pleasure working with Ronnie on the transaction, and I wish him all the best in his retirement.”
