Three caravans arrived to the road near Goring Gap, Worthing on Sunday afternoon. Yesterday, a spokeswoman for West Sussex County Council (WSCC) confirmed they had been served with a notice requiring them to vacate the land.
Photographs taken today show a further three caravans have now arrived at the unauthorised encampment, undeterred by the notice.

Pictures show wooden posts removed from the village green in Marine Drive and rubbish strewn on the field.
A spokeswoman for WSCC confirmed court proceedings would commence if the caravans failed to vacate the area.
“We will continue to monitor the site together with Sussex Police”, she said.
Sussex Police confirmed the force is aware of the caravans and will support West Sussex County Council as the lead agency.
