Cops say they were called to Duke Street around 8.55pm on Monday, March 24 after being alerted to a man allegedly behaving in an abusive manner and possibly being in possession of a weapon.

Duke Street was closed to all traffic between Parkhead Cross/Gallowgate and Shettleston Road from after 9pm before re-opening less than an hour later around 10pm.
Cops say the man was arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident. He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday (March 25).

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.55pm on Monday, March 24, 2025, officers were called to a report of a man behaving in an abusive manner and possibly in possession of a weapon on a bus on Duke Street, Glasgow.
“A 37-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.”
