Caravans near Goring Gap served with notice to leave

The vehicles are currently parked on the road near Goring Gap, Worthing.

Picture show wooden posts removed from the village green in Marine Drive and rubbish strewn on the field. The council would not comment on this. 

Caravans also parked on Goring Gap last summer.

A spokeswoman for West Sussex County Council said: “There are currently three caravans parked at Goring Gap in Worthing.

“Should they fail to do so, court proceedings will commence.

“We will continue to monitor the site together with Sussex Police.”

Sussex Police confirmed the force is aware of the caravans and will support West Sussex County Council as the lead agency.
