Organisers revealed this evening that Radio 1 Dance will be taking over the much-loved Boogie Bar at the summer festival – which will run between July 11 to 13.

The now named BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage will run throughout the entire weekend and it has been announced that 18 dance acts have been been added to TRNSMT’s star-studded line-up which already includes 50 Cent, Biffy Clyro, Fontaines D.C and Gracie Abrams.
(Image: Newsquest) On Friday, Jaguar will head up the stage while Scotland’s own La La will perform alongside the likes of Connor Coates, Big Miz, MARIANNE and Frankie Elyse.
Meanwhile, Saturday will see sets from Nimino, Hayley Zalassi and Arielle Free. Also joining Saturday’s line up will be Hannah Opgaard, Dominique and EVA.
Closing the Radio 1 Dance stage will be Irish dance-pop singer-songwriter, JAZZY, following performances by BETH and host of Radio 1’s Dance Anthems, Charlie Hedges.

Geoff Ellis, TRNSMT festival director said: “This year’s lineup just got even bigger with the addition of 18 trailblazers, set to showcase some of the electronic music scene on the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage.
“Some of the Radio 1 Dance DJs will be playing alongside homegrown British talent on the stage that fans have always known and loved, but now has a new name.
“TRNSMT is the perfect place to experience unforgettable performances and the incredible energy of a Scottish crowd, with lots of exciting announcements still to come.”
TRNSMT is offering a range of ticket packages, including VIP experiences.
