On Friday, James Farmer, 30, of Spracklands, Dinton – near Salisbury – admitted raping a woman aged 16 or over in Seaford on August 5, 2020.
This was during the period after the first national lockdown, which began on March 26, and before the second lockdown began on November 5.
He appeared before Judge Stephen Mooney for a plea and trial preparation hearing at Hove Crown Court at 10am on Friday (March 14), where he pleaded guilty.
The judge said he will be sentenced on May 9.
Farmer was at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court in December, when his case was elevated to the crown court because of its seriousness.
