Martin Watt, 61, made vile comments to her in Knightswood between March 2017 and December 2021.
Watt, of Partick, used the words ‘papish’ and ‘fenian’ during a tirade of abuse.
Watt also mocked the woman who had been seriously ill – calling her “ugly” and a “cancer-stricken piece of s***.”
The woman was also a victim of physical abuse at the hands of Watt, who grabbed her by the neck.

Watt was found guilty today at Glasgow Sheriff Court to engaging in a course of behaviour which was abusive.
He was also convicted of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards her.
The court heard that the pair initially met in August 2016.
Watt became abusive from 2017 and threw money at her, then made threats to kill her.
Jurors were told how the woman locked herself in a bathroom and lay there overnight on two occasions.
Prosecutor Kyle Dalziel said in his closing speech that the woman spent four years “living in a state of repeated panic.”
He added: “Her life was summed up when she said ‘I just looked at his face and I knew I was in trouble’.”
The trial heard from the woman and neighbours how Watt would shout as well as swear at her.
Watt told the woman that he would: “Forcefully choke the life out of you fenian f***s.
“I will break your big nose, fenian w***e.
“F*** you to hell you papish w***e.”
The trial was also told that the woman suffered from cancer – which was mocked by Watt.
He said: “You big nose ugly cancer stricken piece of s***.”
Watt told the jurors in his evidence that the woman was “lying.”
A warrant was granted for Watt’s arrest by Sheriff Tony Kelly after he failed to appear for the verdict.
