Police were called to Victoria Road at about 11.55pm last night following a report of a 77-year-old man being robbed.
He was taken to the Victoria Infirmary for treatment and has since been released.

Officers says a 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
He is due to appear in court on Monday, March 17.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.55pm on Friday, March 14 we were called to a report that a 77-year-old man had been the subject of a robbery on Victoria Road, Govanhill, Glasgow.
“He was taken to the Victoria Infirmary where he was treated and has since been released.
“A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the incident.
“He is due to appear at court on Monday, March 17.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
