Danny Dyer has opened up on his memories of the seaside as he plans his Kent caravan park adventure.
Speaking on a podcast this week, the EastEnders actor detailed his love for the arcades, crabbing and beach walks.

He will appear alongside daughter Dani, who won Love Island with Swanley reality star Jack Fincham, in running their own caravan park in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey for a new Sky TV series.
Danny told Table Manners podcast hosts Jessie and Lennie Ware: “Now I’ve invested money in it. It’s in Leysdown. They’re all static ones. It’s got some charm about it. But it does need a little lick of paint.”
Asked what will be at the site, he said: “There’s a swimming pool there. There’s a lovely clubhouse there, we’ve got an arcade.
“If you want to come we’ll get you a lovely little plot there.”
Earlier in the episode, the 47-year-old said: “Nostalgia is important to me. We used to go to a place called Thorny Bay beach camp and it was all like my mum, nan, cousins, everyone was there. No phones, laptops, it was the 80s.
“And we used to hook up for a week, walk along the sea wall, do a bit of crabbing, go to the arcades, have a candy floss, have a toffee apple.
“It was all just about watching my mum, nan and her sisters just laughing. My mum and nan used to laugh until they p***ed themselves. So they would just all squat together and p*** laughing. It would usually be a big Super King hanging out their mouth.”
The new series shows the father-and-daughter duo dealing with dodgy plumbing, demanding customers and rogue acts, while attempting to reinvigorate the restaurant menu.

Sky executive Phil Edgar-Jones said: “The great British holiday is about to get a turbo-charged makeover like never before as The Dyers’ Caravan Park prepares to open its gates.
“If anyone can make caravanning cool again it’s Danny and Dani, and we cannot wait to see them bring the fun.”
Ben Wicks, creative director at producer Expectation, said: “We are thrilled about working with Danny and Dani Dyer as they try to save the great British summer holiday.
“Their passion for caravanning is unlimited, yet their experience of running a caravan park is extremely limited.
‘It’s got some charm about it. But it does need a little lick of paint…’
“Based on our extensive research, running a caravan park, if you don’t know what you are doing, is quite frankly a nightmare.
“We feel this is the perfect setting for a series as rich in comedy, jeopardy and warmth – even if the weather isn’t!”
Dyer’s TV career has also seen him present the hooliganism documentary series The Real Football Factories and the BBC game show The Wall.
His 28-year-old daughter shot to fame after winning the fourth series of Love Island alongside Jack Fincham. She is now engaged to West Ham United and England footballer Jarrod Bowen.
The Dyers’ Caravan Park will air on Sky Max and Now later this year.
