Police swarmed Donaldson Street in Kirkintilloch yesterday at 5pm after being alerted to a “disturbance” in the area.
Two men, aged 34 and 54, were treated at the scene for facial injuries.
The pair were then arrested in connection with the alleged disturbance.
Now three other men aged have also been arrested people aged 59, 57, and 48 have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Police are asking the public for doorbell and dashcam footage as investigations continue.
The arrested individuals were expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant Gary Boyle of CID said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the incident to come forward.
“I would ask residents who live in the area to check doorbell footage and motorists to check dash-cam footage, you may have have captured something that can assist our investigation.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting 2609 of Thursday, 27 February, 2025.”
