Police and paramedics raced to Renfield Street in the city centre at around 2pm on Wednesday, February 26.
We reported how Glasgow City Council said the street had been shut from its junction with Renfrew Street.
The local authority revealed it had been closed following a ‘road traffic incident’.

Now, the Scottish Ambulance Service revealed they sent an ambulance to the scene.
After that, a person was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
At the moment, the nature of the incident is unknown, however, we have contacted Police Scotland for comment.

In pictures captured by the Glasgow Times, cops could be seen standing guard at the scene.

The images also show officers had taped off a pedestrian crossing in the area.
Cop vans were also pictured parked on the street, with one blocking Renfrew Street’s access to Renfield Street.
Meanwhile, an eyewitness told the Glasgow Times: “It looked like an older man was lying in the middle of the road and people were surrounding him trying to help.”
“There was blood everywhere, it was really distressing to see.”
They added: “It was very unclear as to what had happened as there wasn’t any car that stopped.
“I hope he’s okay. It’s shocking to see as the crossing is so busy during the day.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call to attend an incident on Renfield Street, Glasgow.
“An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
