Officers were called to the scene in East Glasgow at around 5am February 23, where a 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death was previously treated as unexplained but police have said that following a post mortem there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

His family have been informed and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and enquiries are ongoing.
A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with an alleged assault but was later released pending further enquiries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.05am on Sunday, February 23, 2025, we were called to an address in Lochend Path, Easterhouse following the death of a 52-year-old man.
“Following a post-mortem examination, there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
“His next of kin are aware and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
“A 48-year-old man was arrested in connection with an assault and later released pending further enquiries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
