Derek Martin, also known as Derek Glenn, was due to appear in court today, February 24, having been charged with the murder of Josh Bashford, 33, and his wife Chloe Bashford, 30.
Martin, 66, of Moulsecoomb Way, Brighton, previously admitted killing the couple when he pleaded not guilty to murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.

Josh and Chloe Bashford were found dead in their home in Lewes Road, Newhaven, on June 9, 2023.
The trial was adjourned on Friday, February 21, to October 6 and is due to last three weeks.
The location of the trial is yet to be decided.
