The 1920s British Pullman train owned by Belmond, pulled by the 70000 Britannia, was seen passing through Bickley Station on its way to Kent.
The train was spotted by locals in Bickley station as it made its way into Kent on Thursday (February 20) and was captured on film by local Darren Walton.
The experience is one of Belmond’s Golden Age of Travel by Steam journeys, setting off from London Victoria and travelling through south London towards the Kent countryside, before finishing at Dover Priory.
Diners were able to enjoy a luxury dining experience aboard refurbished 1920s art-deco carriages, to get a sense of what rail travel was like a century ago.
The Britannia was first built in Crewe in 1951 and was one of 55 locomotives that were part of the Britannia class.
The locomotive famously pulled the funeral train of King George VI from Norfolk to London in 1952 and served a number of routes in the London Midland region until it was withdrawn in 1966.
