Legends bar and nightclub, which is located in the Legends Hotel on the seafront, said their staff have been left shaken following the incident last night (February 20).
An arrest has been made, according to the venue.
The Marine Parade venue plays host to several events every week and is one of Brighton and Hove’s most popular LGBT+ venues.
In a statement posted on social media, the bar said: “So last night we suffered a disgusting homophobic attack at the hands of three so called ‘guests’.
“Our staff, security and other patrons were all subjected to a prolonged period of unacceptable abuse.
“An arrest has been made and to be clear we will pursue all the individuals involved.
“Everyone is welcome at Legends, but we will not tolerate this behaviour.
“Our staff are a little shaken today, so please give them a reassuring hug if you are passing over the weekend, it’ll mean a lot.
“Remember: In a world where we can be anything, be kind. Love will always win x”
Sussex Police has been approached for information.
