The incident was reported between Dartford and Gravesend just before 7pm today (February 13).
All lines between these stations have closed as the incident is being dealt with by emergency services.
Major disruption is expected until 9.30pm.
Commuters are being advised to check before they travel and use alternative routes where possible.
