The electric vehicle collided with a telegraph pole on Terringes Avenue in Tarring at around 11.35 today.
A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said: “At 1.16pm we responded to a road traffic collision at Terringes Avenue in Tarring.
“Joint Fire Control sent one fire engine from Worthing to the scene.
“Upon arrival crews made the vehicle safe and left the scene at around 1.50pm.
“Fortunately there were no injuries.”
The bonnet of the car was severely damaged by the impact and the vehicle was later towed. The road was closed while emergency services were on the scene.
The driven was taken to hospital as a precaution, a spokesman for Sussex Police confirmed.
