If you’ve considered living in Bromley but not sure which area fits in with your budget new data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) has revealed which Bromley areas and the least and most expensive to love.
A report from Online Marketing Surgery used property data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) to find the average house prices for every area, which looked at the median house prices for every area in all boroughs across the UK for the year ending March 2024.
The most expensive area to live in according to data was revealed to be Langley Park, with the average house price coming in at £850,000.
Located south-west of Bromley, Langley Park is located in Bromley’s suburbs within a short distance of Eden Park.
For those looking for schools, the area is also within two miles of 13 schools rated Outstanding by Ofsted, including Pickhurst Infant Academy, Clare House Primary School and Harris Primary Academy Shortlands.
The area is situated on the outskirts of Bromley to offer a quieter and more slow-paced feel, while being within 2 miles of Bromley’s busier town centre with a cinema, theatre and busy high street for shopping and recreation.
The daily commute to Central London from Eden Park or West Wickham takes 40 minutes, with trains serving London Bridge and Charing Cross.
But if you’re looking for some countryside day trips, you can reach popular Kent locations like Canterbury, Rochester and Whitstable from Bromley South station.
According to data the least expensive area to live in Bromley was Anerley North & Penge West with an average selling price of £340,000.
Located on the west side of Bromley near Crystal Palace, Anerley North and Penge West is well situated with easy travel links to London.
The area has three local train stations – Anerley, Penge West and Penge East – with travel links via London Overground and Southeastern services, with a commute to Central London taking less than 30 minutes.
The area is also situated within two miles of 12 schools that received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted, including Harris Academy Crystal Palace and Bensham Manor School.
The area is also within close distance of Crystal Palace Park, a Green Flag Park well known for its iconic dinosaur statues.
