Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the incident in Upper Avenue, Eastbourne, yesterday, January 14, at around 8.15pm.
A section of the road was temporarily closed while officers worked with Network Rail to ensure the woman’s safe recovery.

She was left in the care of the ambulance service.
Southern reported that all lines between Lewes and Hastings were blocked during the incident with no trains running through the area.
Lines were reopened at around 10.15pm.
