Gillingham have completed a loan deal for Crystal Palace winger Asher Agbinone.
The highly-rated 19-year-old has joined the Gills for the rest of the season from the Premier League outfit.
Agbinone made his Premier League debut for Palace at Nottingham Forest in October.
He is familiar with the Gills having played 90 minutes for Palace’s under-21s when the clubs met in the EFL Trophy in September, Palace winning 3-1.
Agbinone said: “I am really excited to see the Gills fans and hopefully I can make my mark, be exciting, entertain, and bring some points to the team.
“I feel like it is the perfect time for me, and the perfect place, to continue my development under the new gaffer.”
It’s the first signing for new Gillingham boss John Coleman although the club’s interest in Agbinone has been long-standing.
Agbinone could make his Gills debut when they host Fleetwood on Saturday at Priestfield, subject to an early-morning pitch inspection.
