Downs View School in Warren Road, Woodingdean, is shut today, January 9.
The school said surrounding roads are “very icy” with abandoned cars and buses left on roads, meaning it would be “dangerous” for staff and students to travel in.
The school is due to open tomorrow “unless weather conditions change”.
