In a letter seen by the Glasgow Times, Glasgow Club members will see an increase in their monthly fees, starting on Tuesday, January 7.

The hike means that the monthly membership fee will increase to £20 from the current £18. The £2 increase represents seven percent for the majority (86%) of Glasgow Club members.
ActivClub members will also see their plan increase to £20.
Both types of Glasgow Club membership have a reduced rate for those who qualify for a concessionary discount and the monthly price of these remains the same as it has since January 2023.

Glasgow Life, who are in charge of Glasgow Club, have said the price increases will enable them to continue improving and maintaining their facilities and fitness class programme to ensure members receive a high-quality experience.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Life said: “This modest increase in Glasgow Club prices will enable us to continue improving and maintaining our facilities and fitness class programme to ensure our members enjoy the high-quality experience they deserve.
“The cost of Glasgow Club membership remains lower than the SportScotland average for local authority gyms, and our excellent city-wide facilities offer a wide range of benefits that we believe makes us stand out, and really helps encourage local participation.”
