Gillingham’s League 2 trip to Chesterfield on Sunday will be subject to an early pitch inspection.
With snow forecast to fall from late Saturday into Sunday morning, Chesterfield have announced details of an early-morning inspection.
They stated: “Ahead of tomorrow’s home fixture against Gillingham, a pitch inspection is scheduled to take place at 7.45am. A further announcement will be made following the inspection.”
If the game gets the all-clear, Gillingham will be looking for a first League 2 win in five matches and a first goal in four games having last netted against Cheltenham before Christmas.
Chesterfield have also lost their last three league games, most recently being defeated 2-1 at home by MK Dons on New Year’s Day.
The Spireites sit 10th in League 2, four places and four points ahead of Mark Bonner’s Gills side.
