The figures are in, as data from On Time Trains has revealed the most and least used stations across the UK for 2024, based on the average number of passengers who enter and exit each station every day.
Today we’re ranking Bromley’s most and least used train stations across the borough, from the 26 stations within its boundaries.
According to data, Bromley South was ranked to be Bromley’s busiest station and the 79th busiest station in the UK, with an average of 16,397 entries and exits a day.
Over the last 6 months, Bromley South had 64,246 services and has been the 1,191st best out of 2,639 stations with an 85 percent performance score.
Further data revealed that 49 percent of trains were on time in 2024, with 28 percent of trains late by between one and two minutes.
The station, managed by Southeastern, has services running to Central London as well as parts of Kent, with commuters able to travel to popular locations like Canterbury, Margate and Whitstable.
The least used station in Bromley for 2024 was revealed by data to be Birkbeck station with just 226 visits a day, ranking it as the 1,783rd busiest station in the UK.
The station is operated by Southern and serves as part of the line running between Beckenham Junction and London Bridge.
According to On Time Trains, 64 percent of trains at Birkbeck were on time, with 31 percent of trains late between one and two minutes.
