Rail services will resume shortly after a person was hit by a train earlier this morning.
The incident happened between Ashford International and Canterbury West at about 8.30am, with Southeastern reporting delays 18 minutes later.
Emergency services spent an hour at the scene and electricity to the rail was switched off.
The incident has since cleared and the rail operator has advised services will commence between the stations.
The first trains are expected to be the 10:42 service between Ramsgate and Charing Cross and the 10:56 train from Ashford to Ramsgate.
Southeastern said: “Sadly, a person has been hit by a train between Ashford and Canterbury West.”
Canterbury East remains open and passengers can use tickets at no extra cost on Stagecoach buses between Ashford, Canterbury and Ramsgate.
