Police and fire service tackle fuel spillage in Hove

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene in Amberley Drive, Hove, at 12.40pm today, December 31.

Sussex Police were also pictured at the scene blocking the road with a police car.

There were reports of multiple road closures in the area.

A fuel spillage on the road (Image: Sussex News and Pictures) A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: “There is a report of a diesel leak from a single decker bus at 12.40pm on Amberley Drive in Hove.

“The road was cordoned off and crews helped with efforts to make the area safe before handing the scene over.

“We left the scene around 2.30pm. Other agencies remained at the scene.”

Sussex Police has been approached for further information.
