The incident took place on Monday, December 23, at around 10.10pm in Paddock Close, near the junction with Towers Wood, South Darneth.
Three men are alleged to have approached the parked vehicle, which was unattended at the time, and smashed its windscreen before causing further damage to its panels.
The suspects then fled the scene.
The same car was reportedly damaged earlier this month, and police are now working to track down those responsible.
Investigators are urging local residents with private CCTV and drivers with dashcam footage to check for any recordings that could assist their enquiries.
