Police say the attack took place at around 11.20pm on Saturday (December 28) in Portland Place.
The 19-year-old male was taken to hospital for treatment.
Now, officers have launched a manhunt to trace those allegedly involved in the incident.
The suspect is described as being a white male, aged around 16 to 17 years old, around 5ft 9ins in height, of a slim build, with short brown hair.
He was wearing a dark grey tracksuit, a face covering, and glasses.

The suspect was also accompanied by a group of three other males.
Detective Constable Muhammad Yasar said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed this to come forward.
“In particular, we would like to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area at the time.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident 3807 of Saturday, December 28, 2024.
“Alternatively, you can speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
