Kent Fire and Rescue were called to High Street in Bean, Dartford, in the early hours of December 29, 2024.
They were called to the scene at 4.18am and dispatched two fire engines.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using high-pressure hose reel jets.
The fire was extinguished by 5am.
The individual, who suffered smoke inhalation, was treated by paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) before being transported to hospital.
The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
Residents are urged to take precautions by ensuring smoke alarms are in working order and following fire safety advice.
