Rail passengers are facing delays after a line-side fire caused a signalling failure.
Folkestone Central station is affected, with disruption between Folkestone and Dover in both directions.
The fire is now out but the signalling has to be inspected before trains are able to run again.
Southeastern railway service says people can use their tickets on the 80, 93 and 15 bus routes which go through Dover, Deal and Sandwich as well as the 104 and 105 between Dover and Folkestone.
A spokesman added: “Use your ticket on bus routes: 80, 95 Dover – Deal – Sandwich 15 Dover – Canterbury 104, 105 Dover – Folkestone 10 Ashford – Folkestone.”
Disruption is expected until about 8pm.
