Fans of Beabadoobee were queuing from early on Tuesday, as temperatures plummeted, outside Brighton Dome to see the Filipino-British singer songwriter perform to a sold out audience.
The singer – real name Beatrice Laus – who was dubbed “Gen Z’s favourite bedroom-pop star” by The Telegraph, has emerged as a real player on the British indie scene.
She most recently supported Taylor Swift on the North American stretch of her Eras Tour, and has previously joined The 1975, Halsey, and Clairo on the road, as well as performing at major festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury.
REVIEW: Beabadoobee is a phenomenon
She is currently touring the UK, performing songs from her third album This Is How Tomorrow Moves.
The 24-year-old was supported by Momma, an American indie rock band from Brooklyn and appeared on stage in an oversized grey shirt, black leather hot pants and knee-high black boots.
Prior to her performance, the singer told fans on social media that “it’s so nice” in Brighton and that she would try to come and greet fans after her performance but told her followers that “it’s raining…and I feel a little bit fluey”.
