New College Lanarkshire will be hosting the 64-year-old for a special ‘Evening with’ event in October.
At the show, the much-loved broadcaster will be sharing insights into her remarkable life, career, and charity work, alongside musical performances from the college’s award-winning performing arts department.
The ‘one-off’ event will take place in the college’s Coatbridge campus on Thursday, October 3.

On top of discussing her life, the Glasgow-born star will also be made a fellow of New College Lanarkshire, for her work in the media and charity.
Tickets for the event will cost £10 and all proceeds from it will go to the NCL Foundation – which helps break down barriers to education for students, including providing free breakfasts to over 3,500 students each month.

A spokesperson for the college said: “It’s a great honour to have Lorraine with us.
“It’s a sign of her generosity that she’s found time in her busy schedule to come to the College and it’s going to be a fantastic evening.
“Of course, she is college-educated and from Lanarkshire so she understands just how important education is here.”

The TV veteran recently revealed her daughter Rosie Kelly Smith gave birth to her baby Billie Kelly Smith.
Rosie had the child with fiance Steve White, whom she became engaged to in June, two months after revealing she was pregnant.
Following the youngster’s birth, the chat show host has placed a cute picture of the youngster’s hand holding a finger in her ITV studio for her show Lorraine.
