The 39-year-old actress unveiled the first teaser for the film on Instagram on Tuesday, September 17. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kendrick shared her enthusiasm and apprehension, stating, “I love the movie so much, and I want to do it justice. Also, being in a new job title makes me feel like I’m starting from scratch.”

Plot Synopsis
According to IMDb, Woman of the Hour depicts the “true story of Cheryl Bradshaw [played by Anna Kendrick] and Rodney Alcala [portrayed by Daniel Zovatto]. Bradshaw was a contestant on the popular 1970s TV show The Dating Game and chose bachelor No. 3, Rodney Alcala. However, beneath Alcala’s charming exterior lay a horrific secret: he was a psychopathic serial killer.”
Rodney Alcala was eventually sentenced to death for multiple murders committed between 1977 and 1979.
