Bonjour, Emily in Paris fans! The hit series is officially returning for a fifth season. Lily Collins took to Instagram to share the exciting news and teased the next season’s setting, saying, “There’s no place like Rome.” Since its debut on Netflix in 2020, Emily in Paris has become a fan favorite, featuring stars like Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount, and Paul Forman.
Following the release of a thrilling fourth season in August, the show hints at a fresh location as Emily, played by Collins, heads to Rome at the season’s end. Although no official release date for season five has been revealed yet, Netflix confirmed the renewal after season four’s success, which topped the charts during its premiere.
While Emily relocates to Rome to open a new Agence Grateau office and spend time with her new love interest, Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini), the show’s creator, Dan Star, confirmed that the series title will remain unchanged. According to Star, “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome… but she’s still going to be in Paris.”
Lily Collins shared her excitement on Good Morning America, revealing that season five is “breaking news.” She added, “We explored Rome, and I’m hoping to see more of Italy in the new season. The cast felt like Emily did in season one, wide-eyed and excited, exploring a new city.”
