After the surprise visit, Selena attended the 2024 Telluride Film Festival to promote her latest film, Emilia Pérez. During a panel discussion with her co-stars Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofía Gascón, the actresses paid tribute to their director, Jacques Audiard. Following the festival, Selena spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about her preparation for the film, admitting she was initially intimidated by the director. “I was very terrified to meet Jacques,” she revealed. “I rehearsed for three months and didn’t think I’d get this role because I’m not fluent. But with Jacques’ guidance and the support of my co-stars, we figured out a version of the character that worked for me.”
