La Fontaine Academy, based in Nightingale Lane, Bickley, was last inspected on June 26 and 27.
The report was then published on July 24.
Inspectors found the school to be a “friendly and supportive place to learn” where both pupils and staff are proud to be.
Core values at La Fontaine Academy were found to be positivity, passion and aspiration.
Pupils showed Ofsted that they are “enthusiastic” about their learning.
Teachers proved to inspectors that they are “skilled” and use “consistent approaches” to help kids learn.
There are high expectations in place at this school for pupils in all areas of learning and children show “mature attitudes” to their studies.
Behaviour was found to be “excellent” as children know that it is up to them to “behave with kindness and respect”.
Inspectors reported that children are kept safe here and they feel safe.
Ofsted found that there are “numerous opportunities” for broader development for pupils for example, they get the chance to take part in sports tournaments, performing arts events, assemblies and charity fundraising.
The curriculum was praised for its “breadth and scope”, going above and beyond what is expected on a national level.
For example, pupils start learning French as early as Reception.
It was reported that leaders identify the needs of pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) “with precision”.
Any necessary adjustments were found to be made to helps these pupils thrive.
There is a focus at La Fontaine Academy to develop pupils’ “ability to express themselves clearly” and to think about other people’s points of view.
They are given “carefully planned opportunities to explore ideas to clarify their thinking”, Ofsted reported.
Inspectors found that pupils here enjoy reading and there is a “wide variety of high quality texts”, for example, the school has put together a “literary canon” of classic and modern books for children to read.
Staff are given “well-planned and effective training” to help them deliver the curriculum.
Well-being is promoted with “thought and care” at this school, with one staff telling Ofsted: “It’s the best school I’ve ever worked in”.
Inspectors made clear that this reflected the view of many colleagues.
