Next month, diners at the Ivy Asia in Brighton’s Ship Street will be able to order from a menu inspired by the Chinese Moon Festival.
The Moon Festival afternoon tea, thought up by executive chef Simon Gregory, will feature an aromatic menu in a new environment set up as a homage to the festival, with lanterns and music.
Highlights on the menu include duck spring rolls, spicy avocado maki rolls, sesame-crusted prawn dumplings and dark chocolate mousse choux buns for £29.99 per head.
A spokesman for The Ivy Asia said: “Diners can delve into the cultural heritage of a festival that celebrates the harvest and the joy of togetherness with loved ones, while indulging in an array of festive offerings and enjoying a stunning thematic installation that transforms The Ivy Asia into a tribute to the full moon.”
A new cocktail menu is paired with the new dining experience with three new drinks – with fruity, intense and citric flavours.
Experience menus at The Ivy Asia, from £48 per person, include a new Moon Dragon desert which includes white chocolate buns and a honeycomb cheesecake.
The afternoon tea menu launches on September 9 until October 20, between 3 and 4.45pm.
