“We’ve been planning this event for a while, and we’re thrilled it’s finally happening,” said Clarke. “Returning to Airdrie with my family to perform in front of our community is something we’ll cherish forever. I’m also eager for my colleagues to experience the warm welcome from the town that played such a crucial role in my early development and journey to the Royal Ballet.”
The celebration will be attended by his former teacher, Janis Ridley, founder of the Janis Ridley School of Dance, where Reece and his three older brothers trained.
“Watching Reece grow into the remarkable artist he is today has been a privilege,” said Ridley. “His dedication and passion for dance are truly inspiring, and it’s wonderful to see him bring his talents back to Airdrie.”
Reece expressed his gratitude to North Lanarkshire Council for hosting the event, which will feature excerpts from iconic ballets and new works, showcasing the talents of his Royal Ballet colleagues.
