On Sunday, August 4, around 3:50 p.m., three vehicles—a white Audi A6, a red Vauxhall Mokka, and a blue BMW 323—were deliberately set on fire in the Glasgow Road area of Clydebank.
The suspect, described as wearing a navy blue tracksuit with a hood and a covered face, was seen entering the passenger side of a dark silver car, which then reportedly headed towards Whitecrook.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the blaze, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. Police are treating the incident as deliberate arson, and investigations are ongoing.
Detective Constable John Pryde of Clydebank CID stated, “While no one was hurt, the fire caused significant damage to the three vehicles. We are actively investigating and encourage anyone with information or who observed any suspicious activity to contact us. We are also seeking dashcam or CCTV footage that might aid our investigation.”
Anyone with information is urged to call 101 and reference incident 2357 from August 4, 2024.
