The Cockpit, based in Royal Parade, Chislehurst, came second to the Little Green Dragon in Winchmore Hill.
As well as being named as the second-best pub in London, it was also awarded best pub in Bromley for the second year running.
The Cockpit is the first micropub in Chislehurst and opened its doors back in December 2020, whilst the Covid-19 pandemic was in full swing.
It shares its space with a florist, which helps it stand out due to both smelling sweet and looking beautiful.
The Cockpit took to Instagram to share the good news, they said: “Thank you CAMRA for the recognition and everyone for supporting us for these last three years.
“It’s been a rollercoaster of a time.
“Most of all, thanks to everyone behind the bar who works so hard to make this pub such a warm and glowing ember in this community, it’s a blessing.”
A spokesperson for CAMRA said: “A choice of real ales from small breweries from all over the country is available, together with the house beer which is named PIT – and is a pale ale brewed by BritHop. Bar snacks are available.
“The premises – which are deceptively spacious given the limited frontage – are shared with a florist but even so there is more seating than normal in a micropub, with further benches outside at the front of the pub.
“The pub is named after the ancient Cockpit which is situated a few minutes walk away on Chislehurst Common.”
Every year, the majority of CAMRA branches select a pub to be their branch Pub of the Year.
Those branches with any eligible clubs can also select a club to be their branch Club of the Year.
Winners of the branch awards then progress to be judged in the relevant regional competitions and potentially ultimately for the national awards.
Three Bromley pubs were highly commended by CAMRA, despite not taking home the trophy.
These were The Partridge, The Real Ale Way and The Queen’s Head.
