At 4pm on Wednesday (July 24), a white Volkswagen Crafter van, an orange Volvo lorry, and a white Peugeot Boxer van were traveling into Kent on the A282 when they were involved in a crash just before junction 1A.
Emergency services attended the scene, where a woman, a passenger in the Volkswagen, was treated for serious injuries. She was subsequently taken to a London hospital for further medical treatment.
Police are appealing to anyone who was traveling in either direction and witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.

A spokesperson for Kent Police stated: “Investigators are seeking information following a serious collision near the Dartford Crossing. At around 4pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, a white VW Crafter van, an orange Volvo lorry, and a white Peugeot Boxer van were traveling into Kent on the A282 when they were involved in a collision just before junction 1A. Patrols, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene, where a woman, a passenger in the VW, was treated for serious injuries. She was taken to a London hospital for further medical attention. Roads policing officers are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who was traveling in either direction and saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.”
