Three friends who visited Bloc + on Bath Street last Sunday evening are now being urged to return a hip flask that allegedly went missing during their visit. According to bar staff, the flask, which holds significant sentimental value, was taken from the bar. CCTV footage has captured their actions.
The flask was a cherished gift from a sister to her brother before she passed away from cancer. The individual who owns it is very eager to recover it and is offering a cash reward for its return. However, the bar staff believe it would be more appropriate to return it out of respect for its sentimental value.
A spokesperson for the bar described the incident, noting that two of the friends arrived at 7:30 PM—one in a North Face jacket and the other with a heavily tattooed right arm. They enjoyed a meal and drinks before their friend joined them at 9:12 PM, wearing a summer dress and cardigan. The missing flask was reportedly taken at 9:52 PM from table 10.
The venue is equipped with 16 high-definition cameras, providing clear footage of the patrons. The bar is urging the group to return the item voluntarily by contacting them at 0141 574 6066 or via email at james@bloc.ru. The situation has been reported to the police, and the bar’s CCTV footage will be made available to them.
Police Scotland has been notified and is expected to comment on the matter.
