Fairfield Leisure Centre has announced that several car parking spaces will be unavailable from July 22 until August 23.
Located on Lowfield Street, the leisure centre offers a range of facilities including a gym, sports halls, and a swimming pool. It also hosts family fun events, aqua classes, and swimming clubs in addition to regular fitness sessions.
Despite the car park disruption, visitors are encouraged to consider car sharing and alternative transportation methods. Extra travel time is advised due to the expected disruptions.
A spokesperson for the centre stated: “Please be advised that from Monday, July 22nd until Friday, August 23rd, there will be improvement work taking place in our car park as part of our decarbonisation project.
“This will affect a significant number of our parking spaces. Where possible, we recommend car sharing, using alternative travel methods, and allowing extra time for your journey.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.”
