Earlier reports indicated that a pedestrian was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital following a collision on Castle Street.
Authorities closed Castle Street from Glebe Street to Warnock Street in both directions, with specialist traffic officers present. A First Bus was observed stationary within the police cordon.
Traffic was rerouted onto Alexandra Parade, and the M8 Junction 15 eastbound slip road was affected.
Castle Street has now reopened, according to police.
The pedestrian involved is a 28-year-old woman, though her condition has not been disclosed.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson stated, “We received a call at 2:19 p.m. about an incident on Castle Street, Glasgow. Two ambulances were sent, and one patient was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
