Officers in Rother responded to reports of a loose black spaniel in Battle Hill, Battle, and successfully rescued the dog, which was found without a collar. They promptly took the dog to a vet where it was scanned for a microchip, revealing the owner’s contact information.
The same day, the dog was safely returned to its owner. A spokesperson for Rother Police commented on Wednesday, stating, “We rescued this adorable, fluffy dog after receiving reports of it narrowly avoiding traffic on Battle Hill. After ensuring it had no collar, we took it to the vet to check for a microchip. We’re happy to report the dog has been reunited with its thankful owner.”
