“Despite Julie Chrisley’s 2022 sentencing alongside her husband Todd for fraud totaling 19 years, their daughter Savannah Chrisley remains hopeful for her mother’s return.
Originally sentenced to seven years, Julie’s sentence was overturned due to a judicial error during her trial. Judges highlighted the court’s failure to substantiate pre-2007 losses, prompting a sentence vacatur and remand for recalculations.
This development buoyed the Chrisley family’s spirits. Savannah, in a recent episode of her podcast ‘Unlocked,’ shared her optimism, stating, ‘Now we wait, hopefully no more than 90 days for that hearing… Hopefully, she comes home. Life would be so much better… I’m aiming for Thanksgiving.’
Meanwhile, Todd serves a reduced sentence of 10 years, down from an initial 12. The absence of both parents has weighed heavily on Savannah’s shoulders as she navigates life’s challenges. ‘It’s tough knowing Mom and Dad feel life is moving on without them… I feel that way too,’ she lamented on ‘Unlocked.’
The pressure mounts as Savannah takes on caretaking roles for her brother Grayson and niece Nicole, confessing to feeling overwhelmed and unable to ‘breathe’ amidst financial and parental responsibilities. ‘Just when I think I can come up for air, another setback hits… It’s a constant struggle,’ she revealed.”
