Police responded to a welfare concern regarding a man on the QEII bridge at 8:30 pm last night (June 25).
Emergency services arrived promptly and provided assistance to the individual.
During this time, the QEII Bridge was temporarily closed to traffic.
By 8:55 pm, the man was safely brought to care by ambulance service personnel.

An Essex Police spokesperson stated, “We received a call regarding concerns for the welfare of a man on the QEII bridge around 8:30 pm on Tuesday, June 25. Officers, alongside Highways and ambulance service colleagues, responded and engaged with the individual. The bridge was temporarily closed to traffic during this response. The man was safely assisted by 8:55 pm and left under the care of the ambulance service. We appreciate the public’s patience and understanding during the incident.”
